A private guide to the world’s great occasions

The extraordinary, and the real ways in.

We research the occasions people cross the world for, from the Opera Ball to the Croisette, and explain with sources how each one can actually be attended.

What we do

Not a ticket agent. Not a concierge. A well-informed friend who has done the reading.

  1. Curated

We cover occasions with real cultural weight: the fairs, festivals, meetings and nights that people plan a year around.

  2. Sourced

Every page lists its sources and the date we last checked them. Anything we could not confirm is labelled as such.

  3. Practical

Access routes, ballots and applications, dress codes, timing, travel and where to stay: what you need to actually go.

Inside membership

The public page tells you what. The members’ guide tells you how.

  • The access calendar

Every ballot, sale opening, application and deadline across the guides, in date order, with the official page to act on. A private link keeps your own calendar up to date, with a reminder the day before.

  • A members’ guide for each event we cover in depth

An access playbook, the organiser’s prices, where to sit, the official hospitality compared, what to do when it is sold out, travel, where to stay and dress, in the order you plan, with each point marked as official, reported or our advice. It ends with a checklist of what to do and when, to tick off as you go.

  • Recommendations from your interests

Tell us the kinds of occasions and regions you care about. Your dashboard puts matching events first.

  • Saved events and your season at a glance

Save events to a private list and see what is coming up, in date order, from your dashboard, with the next ballots and sales for the events you saved.

  • Sources and check dates on everything

The same standard as the public pages: every fact cited, every page dated, every unconfirmed detail labelled.

Vienna Opera Ball

Access playbook

  1. Watch the Opera’s announcements from late spring: in 2025 the ticket registration window lasted only three days.

    Our advice
  2. An entrance ticket does not include a seat or table. Boxes and tables are allocated separately and are far scarcer.

Questions

Before you go further

Can THE PRIVÉ get me into an event?

No. We do not sell tickets, broker invitations or arrange access. We research how each event can be attended and explain the realistic routes: public sales, ballots, applications, official hospitality and, where relevant, the fact that an event is invitation-only.

How do you check your information?

Every event page lists its sources and the date we last checked them. Each statement is marked as official (stated by the organiser or venue), reported (published by third parties, not yet confirmed) or our advice. An event is marked verified once its key facts have been checked against the organiser’s official pages. Our research and these checks are AI-assisted and published by our editorial desk; the date of the last check is shown on every page.

How do I cancel?

From Billing in your account, which opens our payment provider’s secure portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees. If you joined within the last 14 days you may also withdraw and receive a refund: see the subscription terms.
