An independent guide to the occasions people cross the world for.
The most sought-after events in the world are surprisingly hard to understand from the outside. Dates move. Ballots open for three days and close. An “exclusive” package turns out to be resale. Dress codes are enforced at the gate. Some evenings are simply not open to the public, whatever anyone online is selling.
THE PRIVÉ exists to make that legible. We choose occasions with real cultural weight, research them from the organisers’ own publications wherever we can, and explain plainly how each one can be attended, including when the honest answer is that it cannot.
What we do not do
- Tickets, invitations or guaranteed access to any event.
- Booking, concierge or resale services.
- Affiliation with, or endorsement by, any event organiser.
- Accept payment from organisers or sellers to feature or rank events.
How we verify
Every event page carries its sources, the date we last checked them, and a verification status:
- Verified
- The key facts were confirmed against the official source on the date shown.
- Awaiting editorial review
- Researched from the sources listed, but not yet checked against the organiser’s official pages.
- Unverified
- Key facts have not been confirmed. Treat as indicative only.
Within a page, each statement is marked by where it comes from:
- Official
- Stated by the organiser or venue. Source cited.
- Reported
- Published by third parties. Not yet confirmed with the organiser.
- Our advice
- THE PRIVÉ editorial guidance, not a statement of fact.
We do not publish prices or cost estimates without a reliable source, and we never describe ticket availability, which changes faster than any guide can. If you spot an error, tell us; corrections are re-checked against the official source.
Photography
Photographs show the real venue or an earlier edition, never a stock or generated picture, and each one is freely licensed or used with permission. Where there is none, we show our own illustration. Credits are kept off the pictures and listed here and on each event page.
