Questions

Frequently asked

Events and information

Can THE PRIVÉ get me into an event?

No. We do not sell tickets, broker invitations or arrange access. We research how each event can be attended and explain the realistic routes: public sales, ballots, applications, official hospitality and, where relevant, the fact that an event is invitation-only.

How do you check your information?

Every event page lists its sources and the date we last checked them. Each statement is marked as official (stated by the organiser or venue), reported (published by third parties, not yet confirmed) or our advice. An event is marked verified once its key facts have been checked against the organiser’s official pages. Our research and these checks are AI-assisted and published by our editorial desk; the date of the last check is shown on every page.

Why do some pages say “Awaiting editorial review”?

Because the facts on them have been researched from the sources listed but not yet checked against the organiser’s official pages. We would rather tell you that than present unconfirmed details as settled.

Are you affiliated with the events you cover?

No. THE PRIVÉ is independent and is not endorsed by any organiser. Event names belong to their owners.

Membership and billing

What does membership include?

The access calendar (every ballot, sale and deadline across the guides, with a private link for your own calendar), a members’ guide for each event we have fully researched (access playbook, the organiser’s prices, where to sit, official hospitality, what to do when it is sold out, travel, where to stay, etiquette and dress), recommendations based on the interests you choose, and a private list of saved events.

How much does it cost, and how does renewal work?

Membership is €9.99 per month, including VAT where applicable. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. There is one plan; an annual option may be added later.

How do I cancel?

From Billing in your account, which opens our payment provider’s secure portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees. If you joined within the last 14 days you may also withdraw and receive a refund: see the subscription terms.

What happens if a payment fails?

We tell you in your account. Our payment provider retries the card over the following days. You keep access for a short grace period (currently 7 days after the renewal date) while you update your payment method; after that the guides are paused until payment succeeds.

Who processes my payment?

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by THE PRIVÉ.

Your account

Can I use the site without paying?

Yes. Every event page, with its dates, access routes and sources, is free to read. A free account lets you save events. Membership adds the guides and recommendations.

How do I delete my account?

Cancel any membership first, then send a deletion request from the contact page. We delete your account and personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example, invoices).
